Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
research-acquire scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 188 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Research Acquire
Purpose: ACQUIRE sources — answer one bounded research request by finding sources, bringing them into the repository with proof they are there, and returning exactly one of four classes.
Input: A request file, knowledge/research/requests/<request-id>.json
Output: return.json in the run directory, plus whatever was registered
Research has two stages with a wall between them. This skill is acquisition: it proves a source is in the repository. Reading is /research: it reasons only from sources already in, and it is where domain insights (DI-XXX) are made.
You decide three things: the search queries, keeper or rejected for each candidate, and three sentences about each keeper. The agentic-mbse research CLI does everything else. It keeps the run's record, captures and checks each source, writes the registry, and computes the return class from what landed on disk.
The operator guide covers forming a request, reading the four classes and acting on what comes back. It is research-seam.md in the installed toolkit's docs directory (uv run python -c 'from agentic_mbse.cli import get_docs_dir; print(get_docs_dir())').
When invoked without a request file, ask which request to run and wait.

- source-traceability: how a registered source's location is cited.
Standing Rules
These hold for the whole invocation.
- WebFetch is for triage only. Its output is a lossy summary. It tells you whether a page is reachable and whether it looks relevant. Never quote it, cite it or paste it into a research document, and never register it. The only thing that becomes a source is what
agentic-mbse research registercaptured. - You do not mint domain insights. Registering a source is not approving an insight. Insights are made only through
/researchand the owner's approval. If this round found something that should become one, say so in your report and stop there. - You do not write registry files. Not the source index, not the manifest, nothing under
knowledge/sources/. If you find yourself wanting to, the CLI refused something, and the right move is to report it, not to route around it. - A hold-out match is never yours to waive.
registerreturnsholdout_hitwith a rule id, and the candidate is queued for the operator. There is no flag that admits it, and asking for one is out of scope. The hook sees only what reachesregister, so apply any quarantine rule the project's instructions state before you search or fetch.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

research-acquire is a skill published in the GitHub repository 1cFE/fusion-tea (5 stars, last pushed 24d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 23 tokens to every session and 2,706 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-14.
