Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00102 | $0.01516 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00041 | $0.00606 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00020 | $0.00303 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00152 |
Grade A, and why
21st-video scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 124 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
21st Video
Create the video with the user's coding agent and the 21st video tools. Keep the real editor open so the user can see changes and edit the same project by hand. Use the available tool input schemas as the source of truth for fields, operation names, limits, and supported formats.
Start from the product
Read the project's README, relevant screens/components, brand assets, and release notes. Use real product copy and assets. Establish one message, an appropriate aspect ratio, and a short scene sequence from the user's request. Keep claims grounded in the product. Respect project instructions and any restriction on browser or computer use. Reuse the user's running app; start a server only when authorized.
Inspect the available video_* tools before starting. If they are absent,
report that this connection does not offer video authoring. Use the existing
21st-cli-use skill for finding and installing React components; video blocks
use the separate video catalog.
Create and open the project
- Call
video_list_blocksorvideo_search_blocksfor relevant blocks. Read each chosen block's supported sizes and props schema before composing it. - Call
video_create_projectwith a title andsize(16:9,9:16, or1:1). Choose at most one oftemplate(a slug),blockRef(one block with optionalprops), orblocks(initial kit ops); omit all for empty. Retain the returnedprojectId,rev, andeditorUrl. - Immediately open the returned
editorUrlin the host's in-app browser. In Codex, use the native browser-opening tool, such asopen_in_codexwith a browser URL, when available. The URL already selects Codex host mode and includes a short-lived, single-use handoff. Open it intact and promptly; never print the handoff token or persist that URL to a repo or log. For final links, remove the handoff fragment from the project's editor URL. If the host cannot open the editor, give the stable link and continue with tools. - Call
video_get_docfor the actual document, current revision, andeditorContextcontaining the user's current selection/frame/view size.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

21st-video is a skill published in the GitHub repository 21st-dev/codex-plugin (10 stars, last pushed 10d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 102 tokens to every session and 1,516 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-08.
