Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00148 | $0.02588 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00059 | $0.01035 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00030 | $0.00518 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00015 | $0.00259 |
Grade A, and why
fundamentals scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 25d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 101 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
TouchDesigner Fundamentals
What TouchDesigner Is
TouchDesigner is a node-based visual programming environment for real-time procedural content: interactive installations, live visuals, data visualization, and control systems. A TouchDesigner project is a network of operators — small processing nodes wired together into a directed graph, cooked continuously at the project's frame rate rather than run once and discarded. Projects save as .toe files (a full project) or .tox files (a reusable component embeddable inside another project). Treat every task here as manipulating that node graph, either through the touchdesigner-mcp tools connected to a live TouchDesigner instance, or by reasoning about .tox/.toe structure.
The MCP tools substitute for the two things a human normally does with the mouse: browsing the OP Create dialog (its category tabs mirror the six operator families below) and dragging wires between operators in the network editor. Every action described in this skill has a direct tool equivalent — there is no need to open TouchDesigner's UI to inspect, build, or debug a network reachable through these tools.
Work through the bundled MCP tools rather than assuming network contents by memory: get_td_info, get_td_nodes, get_td_node_parameters, get_td_node_errors, create_td_node, update_td_node_parameters, delete_td_node, exec_node_method, execute_python_script, get_td_classes, get_td_class_details, get_td_module_help, get_top_image, and describe_td_tools. At runtime these are namespaced (e.g. mcp__plugin_touchdesigner_touchdesigner__create_td_node); refer to them by their logical name below and let the runtime prefix resolve automatically. When a tool's exact input shape is unclear, call describe_td_tools rather than guessing at parameter names.
Operator Families
Every operator belongs to exactly one family, determined by the kind of data flowing through it. Family membership decides which wires are legal and which suffix the operator's nodeType carries.
What ships with it
3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

fundamentals is a skill published in the GitHub repository 8beeeaaat/touchdesigner-mcp (582 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 148 tokens to every session and 2,588 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-21.
