Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00105 | $0.01410 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00042 | $0.00564 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00021 | $0.00282 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00141 |
Grade A, and why
research-intake scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 17d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 133 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Research Intake
Phase 1 of the sp-site-design-harness pipeline (Research → Design → Dev
Handoff). Its job: gather everything that could meaningfully inform the
build, and turn it into a brief specific enough that Phase 2 (create-design)
makes project-specific decisions instead of guessing — while still producing
something usable when the input is thin.
This skill has no strict completion requirement. More input produces
more specific decisions later, but sparse or empty input must not block the
pipeline. It proceeds with a fallback strategy and surfaces what it had to
guess at, rather than halting. The only hard stop in this entire phase is an
unexamined file — see Step 1. An empty inputs/ folder is never a stop
condition.
See ../../references/instruction-priority.md for the harness-wide priority
order. This skill applies it during Step 2 (Normalize), to resolve
conflicting inputs — e.g. a brand PDF says one thing and a live URL shows
another, or two supplied files disagree.
Mechanism borrowed from sp-design-system, adapted for this brief
This skill's Input Ledger and Explicit/Inferred/Gap confidence-tagging are
based on sp-design-system's Steps 1–4 (Intake/Normalize/Gap-Check/Gap-Fill)
and its brand-extraction-schema.md — but the target schema is different.
That skill normalizes into a WordPress-build-specific DESIGN.md; this skill
normalizes into research/brief.md, whose fields are brand guidance, website
goals, content/copy, existing assets, things to avoid, and
references/context — the shape Phase 2 (create-design) and Phase 3
(dev-handoff) both consume. See references/brief-schema.md for the exact
field list and references/ledger-schema.md for the disposition mechanics.
Input
Whatever the user drops into research/inputs/ — brand PDFs, style guides,
copy docs, existing graphics/photography/fonts, reference URLs, moodboards,
an existing theme.json, or nothing at all.
Process
Step 1 — Ledger (hard stop on unexamined files only)
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

research-intake is a skill published in the GitHub repository a8cteam51/claude-code-plugins (5 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 105 tokens to every session and 1,410 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-29.
