Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00048 | $0.02796 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00024 | $0.01398 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00010 | $0.00559 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00280 |
Grade A, and why
whimsical-design scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 207 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Whimsical Design Skill
⚠️ Creative Pack — NOT auto-apply
This skill is part of the creative pack. Do NOT apply it by default on every visual task.
Use ONLY when at least one is true:
- user explicitly asks for personality, delight, whimsy, or brand expression
- task is marketing, landing page, portfolio, launch, or editorial
- the default/safe output is clearly the problem (everything looks the same)
- multiple creative directions are being explored on purpose
Do NOT use when:
- building utility UI, admin tools, settings pages, or internal tools
- the product already has a clear design language you should match
- the default aesthetic is already appropriate for the product category
- task is primarily about structure, states, or production hardening
If in doubt, skip this skill. Core skills (design-review, ux-baseline-check, ui-polish-pass) are always safe. This one requires judgment about whether "push past safe" is actually what the product needs.
When It Applies
Design-review catches quality problems. This skill pushes toward delight. Use alongside <skills-root>/design-review/SKILL.md when the triggers above are met.
The Bar
Would someone screenshot this and send it to a friend? Would it make them smile? If no, push further.
Core Principles
1. Whimsy Over Sterile
Default away from corporate SaaS. Toward warmth, personality, surprise. Think: the feeling of opening a Playdate box, or the first time you saw a Teenage Engineering product page.
- Pixel art, hand-drawn textures, playful illustrations
- Warm color palettes over cold neutral grays
- Personality in empty states, loading screens, error messages
- Small details that reward people who look closely
2. Juice
Everything should feel alive. Static interfaces are dead interfaces.
- Micro-interactions on hover, click, drag
- Subtle spring animations on state changes
- Parallax, bob, breathe — things that move even when idle
- Sound design where appropriate (click, whoosh, chirp)
- The difference between "functional" and "delightful" is 50ms of easing
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

whimsical-design is a skill published in the GitHub repository aa-on-ai/agentic-design-system (5 stars, last pushed 21d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 2,796 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
