Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00031 | $0.00850 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00340 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00170 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00085 |
Grade B, and why
appdynamics-cli scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.
mkdir -p ~/.appdynamics && echo "<client-id>@<account>:<client-secret>" > <CREDENTIAL_FILE> && chmod 600 <CREDENTIAL_FILE> Makes network callslowCapability
Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
description: Perform AppDynamics operations using the AppDynamics HTTP API via curl. Use for querying applications, metrics, health rules, and events. How it starts

AppDynamics CLI Skill
Use the instance and rules below when constructing all AppDynamics API commands.
Instances
Update the table below with your AppDynamics controller URLs and credential file paths:
| Environment | Controller URL | Account | Credential File |
|---|---|---|---|
| Production | https://<your-controller>.saas.appdynamics.com |
<your-prod-account> |
~/.appdynamics/prod.token |
| Staging | https://<your-controller>.saas.appdynamics.com |
<your-staging-account> |
~/.appdynamics/staging.token |
If the target instance is unclear, ask the user before running any command.
Prerequisites (one-time setup by user)
Generate an AppDynamics API client (Administration → API Clients) for each environment and save <client-id>@<account>:<client-secret> to the corresponding credential file. Never print or display credential values. Do not perform these steps yourself.
mkdir -p ~/.appdynamics && echo "<client-id>@<account>:<client-secret>" > <CREDENTIAL_FILE> && chmod 600 <CREDENTIAL_FILE>
Command Format
AppDynamics uses OAuth — obtain a short-lived bearer token first, then call the API:
TOKEN=$(curl -s -X POST "<CONTROLLER_URL>/controller/api/oauth/access_token" \
--data-urlencode "grant_type=client_credentials" \
--data-urlencode "client_id=$(cut -d: -f1 <CREDENTIAL_FILE>)" \
--data-urlencode "client_secret=$(cut -d: -f2 <CREDENTIAL_FILE>)" | jq -r '.access_token')
curl -s -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
"<CONTROLLER_URL>/controller/rest/<endpoint>?output=JSON" | jq .
Available API Endpoints
Read-only (safe, no confirmation needed)
| Endpoint | Method | Description |
|---|---|---|
/controller/rest/applications |
GET | List applications |
/controller/rest/applications/<id>/metrics |
GET | Query metric data |
/controller/rest/applications/<id>/problems/healthrule-violations |
GET | List health rule violations |
/controller/rest/applications/<id>/events |
GET | List events |
/controller/rest/applications/<id>/nodes |
GET | List monitored nodes |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

appdynamics-cli is a skill published in the GitHub repository abdullahkhawer/devops-skills (8 stars, last pushed 24d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 850 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (asks for root, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-23.
