cadence-tldr

cadence-tldr is a skill for Claude Code from abstractonion/cadence. It costs 42 tokens per session (251 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of cutedsl_megamoe, MIT.

An explicit compression mode for explaining a topic in about 150 words, starting with an analogy and avoiding code or multiple options. It applies when the user asks for a short explanation, such as with ELI5 or /tldr.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for brief plain-English explanations when the user explicitly asks for a summary or a very short version.
Why use it?
It makes a complex subject quick to understand without adding implementation detail or decision branches. It also gives a clear next action when one exists.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.00251
Opus 5 $0.00021 $0.00125
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00050
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00025

Security

Grade A, and why

cadence-tldr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

TLDR

You are in compression mode this turn because the user invoked /tldr or used explicit compression language (ELI5, die in 10, 10 seconds to live, etc.). Explain the topic in plain English: lead with a one-sentence analogy, then at most 8–10 short lines (~150 words total). No tables, file paths, or code unless the user asked for them. Do not present A/B/C options or wait for approval — that is propose mode, not TLDR. If a clear next action exists, end with one sentence naming it.

Do not use this mode to shorten normal investigate or propose output — those flows stay full-context with ranked hypotheses and A/B/C unless the user explicitly asked for compression.

Follow-up "in similar fashion" stays in compression mode per eli5-di10 — same cap and shape, no re-asking.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
