pos-ai: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/frontend-design/SKILL.md

frontend-design is a skill for Claude Code from abuango/pos-ai. It costs 64 tokens per session (1,365 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for designing and building web interfaces such as pages, dashboards, and applications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create frontend components or complete web interfaces with a defined visual style and production-oriented design decisions.
Why use it?
It provides a deliberate design process for choosing a visual direction and avoiding generic-looking interfaces before implementation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00064 $0.01365
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.00682
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00273
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00136

Measured 7d ago against content hash 3fb5cc425ce0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

frontend-design scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Frontend Design

Setup

Before starting: check .handoff/sessions/ for active sessions, read context status.yaml, run git status. Follow .rules/universal.md (Plan -> Approve -> Execute).

Create production-grade web interfaces with intentional, distinctive aesthetics.

Core Philosophy

Avoid generic AI design. Every interface should have a clear aesthetic point-of-view. Generic means forgettable—be bold.

Before Coding: Design Thinking

1. Clarify Purpose

  • What is this interface for?
  • Who uses it?
  • What emotion should it evoke?

2. Choose Aesthetic Direction

Pick a BOLD direction (not "clean and modern"):

Direction Characteristics
Brutalist Raw, unpolished, intentionally rough
Minimalist Extreme restraint, negative space, few elements
Maximalist Rich, layered, abundant detail
Retro-Futuristic Blend of vintage and sci-fi
Organic Flowing shapes, natural colors, soft edges
Corporate Refined Precise, professional, subtle luxury
Playful Bright colors, rounded shapes, micro-interactions
Dark Mode Premium Deep blacks, accent glows, high contrast

3. Identify Constraints

  • Framework (Vue, React, Blade, plain HTML)
  • CSS approach (Tailwind, custom, component library)
  • Performance requirements
  • Accessibility needs

Aesthetic Execution

Typography

Never use: Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman, default system fonts, Inter (overused)

Do:

  • Choose distinctive, characterful fonts
  • Pair fonts deliberately (display + body)
  • Use dramatic size contrast
  • Consider variable fonts for expressiveness
/* Example: Bold pairing */
--font-display: 'Playfair Display', serif;
--font-body: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif;

h1 { font-size: 4rem; letter-spacing: -0.02em; }

Color & Theme

Avoid: Purple-to-blue gradients (AI cliche), rainbow gradients, gray-on-gray

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
