Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00038 | $0.00535 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00019 | $0.00267 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00008 | $0.00107 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00004 | $0.00053 |
Grade A, and why
advai-knowledge scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 75 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Advai Knowledge Base
Use this skill to create and maintain local knowledge bases with advai kb.
When to Invoke
Invoke this skill when the user wants to:
- Create a lightweight local knowledge base
- Add project files or documents into a searchable store
- Search stored documents by keyword
- Resync stored documents from their original source files
- Build a small local memory layer for notes, docs, or reference material
Do not use this skill for full-text search over the live repository when direct code search tools are better suited.
Core Commands
Create and populate:
advai kb create <name>
advai kb doc add <name> <path>
Search and refresh:
advai kb search <name> <query>
advai kb sync <name>
Preconditions
- This skill depends on the
advaiCLI fromhttps://github.com/Advai-X/advai-cli. - Ensure
advaiis installed and available on PATH. - Ensure the
advai kbsubcommand is available in the current installation. - If
advai kbis missing, stop and guide the user to install or upgradeadvaifromhttps://github.com/Advai-X/advai-cli.
Operating Guidelines
- Use a concise, durable KB name such as
product-docs,runbooks, ordesign-notes. - Add source documents with stable paths so later
synccan refresh them correctly. - Use
searchfor quick keyword lookup across the stored document set. - If
syncreports missing source files, surface those paths explicitly and ask whether to replace or remove them. - Prefer one KB per topic or project area instead of one giant mixed store.
- If
advai kbis not recognized at runtime, direct the user to install or upgradeadvaifromhttps://github.com/Advai-X/advai-cli.
Examples
Create a KB and add documents:
advai kb create runbooks
advai kb doc add runbooks ./docs/incident-response.md
advai kb doc add runbooks ./docs/oncall-checklist.md
Search the KB:
advai kb search runbooks rollback
Refresh from source files:
advai kb sync runbooks
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

advai-knowledge is a skill published in the GitHub repository Advai-X/advai-skills (64 stars, last pushed 17d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 38 tokens to every session and 535 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
