goobers-dsl-author

goobers-dsl-author is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Agent-Clubhouse/Goobers. It costs 36 tokens per session (2,389 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An authoring guide for Goobers DSL, a configuration language for describing automated workforces and workflows. It turns a plain-language request into a validated configuration that matches the repository and software release.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create or update Goobers definitions, including workforce, workflow, task, and gate settings, using the matching schemas and documentation.
Why use it?
Configuration rules can vary between releases, and an invalid or incomplete file can stop the workflow from working. This helps identify the correct rules and make the smallest complete change.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is go run ./cmd/goobers validate --json --source-tree /path/to/my-config.

Good fit Use it to create or update Goobers definitions, including workforce, workflow, task, and gate settings, using the matching schemas and documentation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00036 $0.02389
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.01195
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00478
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00239

Security

Grade A, and why

goobers-dsl-author scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Goobers DSL author

Translate a user's intent into the smallest complete Goobers config change. This skill authors definitions for the user's config repo; it does not start or depend on the Goobers daemon.

Find the canonical sources

Resolve the target release with goobers-environment-resolver when this skill is used from the Goobers agent toolkit.

When a Goobers source checkout is available, inspect the matching release's sources before authoring:

  1. docs/ARCHITECTURE.md for architecture and terminology precedence.
  2. api/schemas/gaggle.schema.json, goober.schema.json, and workflow.schema.json for the accepted YAML shape.
  3. docs/requirements/{gaggle,goober,workflow,task,gate,config-as-code}.md for semantics.
  4. docs/stage-contract.md for task inputs, outputs, artifacts, and capabilities.
  5. internal/capability/capability.go for the canonical capability registry.
  6. config-examples/ for complete patterns. Examples illustrate the schemas; they do not override them.

Outside a checkout, use the bundled references/dsl-reference.md and references/terminology.md. If the user's Goobers version is known, consult sources from that release rather than main.

If sources disagree, follow docs/ARCHITECTURE.md, then the schemas and validator for the target release. Do not invent fields from prose or examples.

Ground the request in the target repository

Start with the complete report from goobers-environment-resolver. Then follow references/repository-authoring.md for each configured target. When a new checked-in source tree has no structured target yet, use that reference's prospective-target bootstrap only for the complete provider identity and optional ref the user explicitly requested. Inspect repository guidance, README/contributor docs, CI workflows, command entry points, language manifests, lockfiles, and the default branch using read-only local or provider access. Do not execute target-repository commands during discovery.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
