run-tests

run-tests is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Agent-Clubhouse/Goobers. It costs 22 tokens per session (174 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow step that runs a repository’s build and test commands after a code change. It checks the project’s own instructions to find the right commands.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to verify builds, run automated tests, fix regressions caused by a change, and report which checks passed or failed.
Why use it?
It catches failures introduced by a change before the work is handed over. It also keeps unrelated, pre-existing failures separate from the current fix.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00174
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00087
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00035
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00017

Security

Grade A, and why

run-tests scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

run-tests

Verify the change from the implement skill before the workflow's local-CI stage and the review goober see it.

Procedure

  1. Identify the target repository's build/test entrypoint (Makefile, package manifest, or the gaggle's declared ciCommand).
  2. Run it in the working tree.
  3. Fix failures the change introduced; do not silence or skip failing checks to get a pass.
  4. Report which checks ran and their result in the completion summary.

Scope

Only fix regressions caused by this change. A pre-existing failure unrelated to the claimed item belongs in a separate backlog item, not a silent fix here.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

run-tests is a skill published in the GitHub repository Agent-Clubhouse/Goobers (6 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 174 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
