write-article

write-article is a skill for Claude Code from agility/mcp-server. It costs 81 tokens per session (827 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A writing workflow for creating and staging articles in Agility CMS, a system for managing website content. It uses a topic or brief to prepare a blog post, announcement, case study, guide, or similar article.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to draft article text, excerpts, SEO descriptions, author and category details, tags, images, and slugs before saving the result in the CMS.
Why use it?
It reduces the manual work of finding the right content list, checking required fields, and preparing the article's text and supporting details. It also helps avoid making up missing facts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.00827
Opus 5.5 $0.00032 $0.00331
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00165
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00083

Security

Grade A, and why

write-article scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Write an article in Agility CMS

An article is a content item in a list such as BlogPosts or News. This skill covers the whole job; the rules for saving fields come from the edit-content skill, and the voice from the brand-voice skill.

1. Gather the brief

Before writing, know:

  • the topic, the audience and the one point the article must make
  • the facts to use (a release note, a product page, the user's notes). Do not invent facts, numbers, customer names or quotes. If something is missing, ask or leave a clearly marked placeholder.
  • the brand guidelines, if the user has them (see brand-voice)
  • an image: a file the user provides, or an asset already in Agility

2. Find where articles live

  1. Confirm the instance and locale.
  2. Call get_containers and pick the article list. If several could fit (BlogPosts, News, Resources), ask.
  3. Call get_content_model_details for its model. Note the body field (rich text or Markdown), the slug, excerpt, image, author, category and tag fields, and which are required.
  4. Read one or two recent articles with get_content_items and get_content_item to copy how fields are actually used: body format, slug style, excerpt length, how many tags.

3. Resolve linked fields to real IDs

Author, category and tags are usually links to other lists. Find the IDs with get_content_items on those lists (or search_instance) and use the companion field names shown in the model (for example Author_ValueField and Author_TextField). Use existing categories and tags. Do not create new ones unless the user asks.

4. Write

  • A headline that says what the reader gets, then a body that leads with the point. Use the body format the model expects: HTML for rich text, Markdown for a Markdown field. Use headings for anything longer than a few paragraphs.
  • A slug from the headline: lowercase, hyphens, no dates unless the site uses them.
  • An excerpt of one or two sentences, plain text. Reuse it as the SEO meta description if the item has SEO fields (140 to 160 characters works best).
  • Links inside the site use the ~/ prefix, for example ~/products.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
