mart-author

mart-author is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ahmedawan-oracle/claude-code-plugins. It costs 176 tokens per session (4,669 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for adding new analytical data structures to an Oracle AIDP Fusion data system when its existing data cannot answer a business question. A medallion layer is a staged data design that organizes raw data into progressively more useful forms.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add a new metric or dimension that the existing gold data and content pack cannot provide, using additive YAML and SQL artifacts.
Why use it?
It provides a controlled route for filling a genuine gap without changing already-built data, and checks the available source fields before defining the addition.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00176 $0.04669
Opus 5 $0.00088 $0.02335
Sonnet 5 $0.00035 $0.00934
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00467

Security

Grade A, and why

mart-author scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (change_planner.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 309 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

mart-author — author a new medallion node, additively and cheaply

When the gold layer genuinely can't serve a dashboard, this skill extends the medallion as v2 content-pack artifacts (YAML + SQL), authored like a careful data engineer: the smallest, additive, lowest-cost change that serves the need without disturbing already-materialized delta.

It is the GAP-handler of the skill family. It does not seed, query live data, create OAC datasets, or write dim_*.py modules (v2 forbids the last — content-pack YAML+SQL only; tests/architectural/test_no_new_legacy_modules.py enforces it).

Not to be confused with medallion-author, which resolves tenant variation (column aliases / semantic variants) into an overlay. This skill authors new analytical content. Both write to overlay packs.

When to use

  • oac-dataset-advisor reports a true GAP (neither live gold nor the pack's buildable menu can serve the request).
  • "Add a metric/dimension my gold layer doesn't have", "create a mart for ", "I need a column that isn't there".

When NOT to use

  • The data exists but isn't materialized → aidp-fusion-autopilot run --mode seed (or /aidp-fusion-seed); use oac-dataset-advisor to confirm.
  • Resolving column-alias / semantic-variant tenant variation → medallion-author.
  • A bronze column-TYPE bug (a declared outputSchema type is wrong vs the live PVO, e.g. decimal(38,30)decimal(18,0)) → that's a bronze type-overlay via medallion-author (AIDPF-4070), not a new mart. The PVO source schema you inspect here surfaces the right type; retype in place via the overlay rather than authoring a new node.
  • Changing a bronze node's requiredColumns (assert/pull an extra source column, or relax a normally-required one a tenant's PVO lacks) → that's a bronze requiredColumns overlay via medallion-author (add via requiredColumns, acknowledged removal via relaxRequiredColumns; AIDPF-2062/2063), not a new mart.
  • Building the OAC dataset/workbook → oac-dataset-advisor + workbook-authoring.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
