oac-dataset-setup

oac-dataset-setup is a skill for Claude Code from ahmedawan-oracle/claude-code-plugins. It costs 179 tokens per session (2,453 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guided setup and verification process for creating or reusing an Oracle Analytics Cloud connection and dataset over live Fusion AIDP gold tables. Gold tables are cleaned, prepared data intended for reporting.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for guiding an operator through the OAC interface, pausing while they create the dataset, and verifying the result through OAC tools.
Why use it?
It turns a dataset recommendation into exact manual OAC steps and catches missing or incorrect datasets before workbook creation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00179 $0.02453
Opus 5 $0.00089 $0.01226
Sonnet 5 $0.00036 $0.00491
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00245

Security

Grade A, and why

oac-dataset-setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

oac-dataset-setup - guided OAC dataset checkpoint

This skill owns the manual OAC data-surface step between /oac-dataset-advisor and /workbook-authoring.

It does three things:

  1. Turns the advisor's dataset recommendation into exact OAC UI instructions.
  2. Pauses while the operator creates or updates the AIDP connection/dataset in OAC.
  3. Verifies the resulting dataset through OAC MCP before workbook authoring.

It does not create the OAC connection or dataset automatically. Current OAC MCP can search, describe, query, and save catalog content, but it does not expose a create-dataset tool. First-time AIDP connection creation is also an OAC UI step because the public REST validator does not reliably accept the AIDP idljdbc connection type.

When to use

  • /oac-dataset-advisor returned a CREATE recommendation and the user needs OAC UI steps.
  • Autopilot reaches the "OAC connection/dataset" pause.
  • The user says they created a dataset and wants to continue.
  • The user wants to verify an OAC dataset before /workbook-authoring.
  • A workbook request is blocked because the target dataset is missing or ambiguous.

When NOT to use

  • Deciding whether live gold can serve the dashboard -> /oac-dataset-advisor.
  • Building missing gold content -> /mart-author, then seed and re-run advisor.
  • Creating the workbook -> /workbook-authoring.
  • Setting up OAC MCP itself -> run the project-scoped dashboard mcp-setup command from the customer project directory.
  • Running seed/incremental to materialize data -> /aidp-fusion-seed or /aidp-fusion-incremental.

Required inputs

Start from an advisor recommendation. If the user has not provided one, run or ask them to run /oac-dataset-advisor first.

The minimum dataset spec is:

Dataset name:
OAC AIDP connection name:
Gold table or tables:
Columns to expose:
Join keys, when multi-table:
Filters or grants:

For single-table datasets, require a fully qualified gold table such as fusion_catalog.gold.supplier_spend.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

oac-dataset-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository ahmedawan-oracle/claude-code-plugins (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 179 tokens to every session and 2,453 once invoked, about $0.0009 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
