beat

beat is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ai-search-guru/getcito-worlds-first-open-source-aio-aeo-or-geo-tool. It costs 14 tokens per session (520 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A content-research workflow that compares the pages AI systems cite for a competitor with your own pages. It then drafts changes intended to close the gap for a specific search question.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding a competitor's advantage for one question, reviewing cited pages, and drafting updates to your page.
Why use it?
It shows what information your page lacks when AI systems prefer a competitor, instead of relying only on general SEO advice.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00014 $0.00520
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00208
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00104
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00052

Security

Grade A, and why

beat scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 45 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Beat a competitor

On one prompt where a competitor wins, compare the pages AI engines cite for them with the brand's own, and draft the changes that close the gap.

When to use

  • "Help us beat Northwind on 'ai visibility tool'", "Why does ChatGPT pick them over us for this prompt?"
  • For a new side-by-side page instead, the Comparison page skill fits better.

What to read

  1. list_competitors, and get_competitor_comparison for the period: where the competitor leads, per platform.
  2. get_prompt_performance for the brand's prompts: the prompt where the gap is widest, if the person names none.
  3. list_ai_answers for that prompt: which pages each engine cites, theirs and the brand's.
  4. list_citations with the competitor and owned filters: the competitor's cited pages, and the brand's best page for the topic.
  5. get_fanouts for the prompt: the questions behind it that the cited pages answer.
  6. get_draft when the brand's page is a draft in the Content Library.

Steps

  1. Pick the prompt and the competitor. If either is unclear, ask, with the tracked competitors as the options.
  2. Compare the cited pages: what the competitor's page answers that the brand's doesn't, how directly it answers, its tables, FAQs, dates and sources.
  3. Write a gap table, then draft the changes to the brand's page: new or rewritten passages, each tied to a gap.
  4. Save the changed page as a new version with create_draft, method optimize, with the live page's address as its source; the app asks the person first when it should.

Output

  1. A gap table: What the cited page does, The competitor, The brand, Change.
  2. The drafted passages, ready to paste, with [placeholders] for facts only the brand can give.

Don't

  • Don't copy the competitor's text or structure: say what it answers, and answer it in the brand's own way.
  • Don't disparage the competitor, and claim nothing about them a read page doesn't say.
  • No tracking numbers on the page, and never claim the changes will win the prompt.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
