sentryskills-output

sentryskills-output is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from AI45Lab/SentrySkills. It costs 47 tokens per session (433 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A SentrySkills gate that checks text before an AI agent sends its final response, looking for sensitive information and unsupported certainty.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps detect and redact leaks, assess whether information was verified by multiple sources, and allow, soften, or block the final response.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk of exposing credentials or private data and can soften conclusions when they rely on only one source.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00047 $0.00433
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00217
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00087
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00043

Security

Grade A, and why

sentryskills-output scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

SentrySkills Output Privacy Guard

Role

As mandatory gate before final output to prevent "explanatory answer leakage."

Input

  1. Text to be output
  2. sensitivity_state
  3. trust_annotations
  4. Whether multi-source verification completed

Output

  1. leakage_detected
  2. redaction_applied
  3. confidence_level
  4. safe_response
  5. output_decision (allow|downgrade|block)
  6. output_rule_action and optional output_model_action

Mandatory Checks

  1. Credentials, keys, privacy fields
  2. Restatement and reconstruction leakage of sensitive context
  3. Whether single-source tool conclusions are over-deterministically expressed
  4. Multi-source verification status

Disposition Rules

  1. Sensitive leakage detected: redact or block.
  2. Multi-source verification not completed: downgrade, output uncertainty notice.
  3. Multi-source consistent and no sensitive leakage: can allow.
  4. Output rules run before output model analysis; model results may tighten but not relax rule decisions.
  5. Prompt-injection phrases in output text are not blocking by themselves unless they create leakage, unsafe reconstruction, or executable dangerous content.

Output Template

## Output Guard Result
- output_decision: <allow|downgrade|block>
- leakage_detected: <true|false>
- redaction_applied: <true|false>
- confidence_level: <low|medium|high>
- safe_response: <final text to user>
  1. If trust_annotations contains single-tool source conclusions, first call ../shared/scripts/verify_multi_source_template.py.
  2. When conclusion has not reached multi_source_verified, output_decision should not default to allow.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

sentryskills-output is a skill published in the GitHub repository AI45Lab/SentrySkills (9 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 47 tokens to every session and 433 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
