gbb-pptx

gbb-pptx is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from aiappsgbb/awesome-gbb. It costs 108 tokens per session (2,479 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool guide for creating new PowerPoint presentations from instructions or Markdown files. It uses Python code to build dark- or light-themed slide decks in the PPTX format.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to make pitch decks, reports, slide decks, or presentations from Markdown or other supplied content.
Why use it?
It removes the need to create each slide and its layout by hand. It also gives a repeatable way to turn written content into a presentation file.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is the deck is assembled, run [`gbb-humanizer`](../gbb-humanizer/) over the.

Good fit Use it to make pitch decks, reports, slide decks, or presentations from Markdown or other supplied content.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00108 $0.02479
Opus 5 $0.00054 $0.01239
Sonnet 5 $0.00022 $0.00496
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00248

Measured 8d ago against content hash c50e2db6e8e3, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gbb-pptx scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

GBB PPTX Deck Generator Skill

Renamed from pptx in v2.0.0 to avoid name collision with the upstream Anthropic-style pptx skill (which focuses on reading/editing existing .pptx files via markitdown). This GBB variant generates fresh dark/light-themed pitch decks from Markdown using python-pptx. Both can coexist at user scope — invoke this one with the gbb-pptx / "GBB deck" / "dark-themed deck" trigger phrases.

Generate professional, dark-themed PowerPoint (PPTX) presentations using python-pptx.

When to Use

Invoke this skill when the user asks to:

  • Create a PowerPoint / PPTX presentation
  • Generate a slide deck
  • Convert markdown content into slides
  • Build a pitch deck or report as PPTX

Prerequisites

pip install python-pptx

How It Works

  1. Define slide content — either from user instructions or by reading a markdown file
  2. Generate a Python script using the patterns below
  3. Run the script to produce the .pptx file

Core Patterns

Slide Setup (16:9 Widescreen)

from pptx import Presentation
from pptx.util import Inches, Pt
from pptx.dml.color import RGBColor
from pptx.enum.text import PP_ALIGN
from pptx.enum.shapes import MSO_SHAPE

prs = Presentation()
prs.slide_width = Inches(13.333)   # 16:9
prs.slide_height = Inches(7.5)

Background Color

def set_bg(slide, color):
    fill = slide.background.fill
    fill.solid()
    fill.fore_color.rgb = color

Text Box

def text_box(slide, left, top, width, height, text,
             font_size=14, color=RGBColor(0xF1,0xF5,0xF9),
             bold=False, align=PP_ALIGN.LEFT, font="Segoe UI"):
    box = slide.shapes.add_textbox(
        Inches(left), Inches(top), Inches(width), Inches(height))
    box.text_frame.word_wrap = True
    p = box.text_frame.paragraphs[0]
    p.text = text
    p.font.size = Pt(font_size)
    p.font.color.rgb = color
    p.font.bold = bold
    p.font.name = font
    p.alignment = align
    return box

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

gbb-pptx is a skill published in the GitHub repository aiappsgbb/awesome-gbb (5 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 108 tokens to every session and 2,479 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
