folio

folio is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from aimeos/pagible. It costs 63 tokens per session (981 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A design guide for a personal developer blog and portfolio. It defines page layouts, colours, typography, themes, project displays, writing features, and other visual rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when building a developer portfolio with blog posts, project tiles, an experience timeline, reading details, and light and dark modes.
Why use it?
It gives a site a consistent structure and appearance instead of leaving each page to be designed separately. It also sets limits on decoration and content presentation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00063 $0.00981
Opus 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00392
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00196
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00098

Security

Grade A, and why

folio scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Folio Theme Design System

Direction

Build a personal website like the best developer blogs and portfolios (leerob.com, overreacted.io, brittanychiang.com, antfu.me): one person, one voice, and the writing comes first. The site should feel like a well-kept notebook, quiet and fast, with nothing that competes with the text. Show what the person built and learned with concrete numbers and code. Use no stock photos of people, no marketing claims and no decorative effects.

Foundations

  • Use only the markup and classes supplied by ./theme/views/ and the theme's article, blog, code, text, blog layout and main views.
  • Use the system sans-serif, serif and monospace fonts and the existing --pico-* variables.
  • Use warm neutrals (#2B2924, #6B665E, #E4E0D9, #FBFAF8) and green (#1F7A4D, #4FBF87 in dark mode) only for links and the first button; code blocks always stay dark.
  • Support light and dark mode; never place fixed light colors on themeable backgrounds.
  • Use 0.5rem corners and thin borders instead of shadows.

Structure

  • Home (page): a hero with the avatar as image, the role as subtitle, a one-sentence introduction and two buttons, a blog element with the list layout and "Recent writing" as title, two-column project cards and a cta for contact.
  • Writing (page): a short note on what you write about and a blog list of all posts with this page as parent page.
  • Posts (blog) below Writing, newest first in the tree. Each starts with an article element (title, a two-sentence lead and a cover image), followed by text, level-2 heading and code elements.
  • About, Projects, Uses and Now pages (page) start with a level-1 heading. About contains a vertical timeline of jobs, Uses lists tools by category and Now says what you're doing this month with the date of the last update.
  • Fill the folio::profile config on the home page: name, job title, company, location, a square photo, a one-sentence bio, the e-mail address and profile links.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
