cursor-doctor: Skill for Cursor

.cursor/skills/generate-helium-code/SKILL.md

generate-helium-code is a skill for Cursor from ajgreyling/cursor-doctor. It costs 23 tokens per session (308 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A code-scaffolding guide for adding TypeScript modules and command handlers to the cursor-doctor project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding a CLI command, core module, catalog concept, or new check to the TypeScript codebase.
Why use it?
It gives agents the project’s expected file patterns, integration checklist, and rules for keeping command behavior focused and repeatable.

Written for Cursor: installed under .cursor/.

This is ajgreyling/cursor-doctor's own configuration. It tells Cursor how to work on cursor-doctor itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything cursor-doctor configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.00308
Opus 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00123
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00062
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00031

Measured 2mo ago against content hash c11578079aee, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

generate-helium-code scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Generate Project Code

Despite the skill name, this project uses TypeScript. Use this skill to scaffold code in the existing cursor-doctor style.

When to use

  • Adding a new CLI command.
  • Adding a new core module under src/.
  • Adding a new concept or extending catalog/checks.

Templates

New module template (src/<name>.ts)

import type { SomeType } from "./types.js";

export function runName(input: SomeType): SomeType {
  // Keep functions focused and deterministic.
  return input;
}

New command integration checklist

  1. Add command to type Command in src/index.ts.
  2. Extend parseCommand() recognition.
  3. Implement run<Command>() handler.
  4. Wire handler into switch (command).
  5. Update README.md and docs (ARCHITECTURE, UI_KNOWLEDGE_BASE, optionally openapi.yaml).

Guardrails

  • Keep pure logic in dedicated modules; avoid bloating src/index.ts.
  • Reuse existing types from src/types.ts.
  • Use clear errors and let top-level main().catch(...) handle exit behavior.
  • Preserve deterministic output for auditability.

Completeness checklist

  • templates or patterns
  • when to use
  • checklist for new code
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
