Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00599
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00300
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00120
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00060

Security

Grade A, and why

site-mirror scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

What I do

  • Download websites for offline browsing. Captures HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts and media.
  • Provide three modes: static (via wget), dynamic single‑page (via Playwright) and dynamic multi‑page (via Playwright with link crawling).
  • Produce one or more index.html files with rewritten links and a report.json summarising captured assets.

When to use me

Invoke this skill when you need a local mirror of a site. Use static mode for simple server‑rendered pages, dynamic single‑page mode for modern SPAs and pages that load content via JavaScript, or dynamic multi‑page mode when you need to follow internal links within the same domain.

How to run

In a CodeDex session, use the shell tool to run one of the following:

python3 mirror.py <URL> -o <output_dir>

for static sites, or

python3 mirror_dynamic.py <URL> -o <output_dir>

for dynamic single‑page sites.

To follow internal links on a dynamic site, run:

python3 mirror_dynamic_multi.py <URL> -o <output_dir> --depth 1 --concurrency 3 --max-pages 50

The --depth option controls how many link levels to follow (0 means only the root page). The optional --concurrency sets how many pages are processed in parallel and --max-pages limits the total number of pages captured. Replace <URL> with the target site and <output_dir> with a folder name. After completion, open the appropriate index.html file(s) to browse.

Installation

  1. Copy the codedex-site-mirror directory to your global skills folder (~/.codedex/skills/) or project folder (.codedex/skills/).
  2. Ensure mirror.py, mirror_dynamic.py and mirror_dynamic_multi.py are accessible in your project directory or on your PATH.
  3. CodeDex will automatically load the skill the next time you start a session.

Notes

  • Respect copyright and robots.txt. Do not mirror sites without permission.
  • Install Playwright (pip install playwright && playwright install) for dynamic modes.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

site-mirror is a skill published in the GitHub repository ajmaluk/site-mirror-skill (2 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 53 tokens to every session and 599 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
