handle-an-objection

handle-an-objection is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from akiotanaka847/qaio-desktop. It costs 65 tokens per session (1,092 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A short spoken response and follow-up email for one sales objection. It bases the response on your sales playbook, recent call insights, and a relevant customer example.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when a prospect questions your product, price, or approach during a call, and when you need to follow up afterward.
Why use it?
It helps you answer a difficult concern without improvising or losing the agreed sales position. It also turns the call response into a written next step.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.01092
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.00546
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00218
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00109

Security

Grade A, and why

handle-an-objection scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Handle An Objection

Single-objection handler. Two outputs: in-call reframe (short, verbal) + post-call follow-up email (short, written).

When to use

  • "they said '{objection}' on the {deal} call - draft my reframe".
  • "how do I handle '{objection}'".
  • Called by check-my-sales subject=discovery-call for any OBJECTION surfaced in call.

Connections I need

I run external work through Composio. Before this skill runs I check that the categories below are linked. Missing → I name the category, ask you to connect it from the Integrations tab, stop.

  • Inbox - sample your sent emails to match voice on the post-call follow-up. Optional but recommended.

I can run this skill from your playbook and call notes alone, so no connection is hard-required.

Information I need

I read your sales context first. For every required field that's missing I ask ONE plain-language question (best modality: connected app > file drop > URL > paste) and wait.

  • Your sales playbook - Required. Why I need it: the objection handbook and anchor accounts ground the reframe. If missing I ask: "I don't have your playbook yet - want me to draft it now?"
  • The objection in their words - Required. Why I need it: I reframe the actual phrase, not a paraphrase. If missing I ask: "What did they say, word for word?"
  • Which deal this came up on - Required. Why I need it: I save the reframe under that deal and pull context from the call. If missing I ask: "Which prospect or deal raised this?"
  • Voice samples - Optional. Why I need it: makes the post-call email sound like you. If you don't have it I keep going with TBD and use a neutral tone.
  1. Read the playbook. Load context/sales-context.md. Find matching entry in Objection handbook. If playbook missing, ask user to run set-up-my-sales-info first, stop.

  2. Read the ledger. Load config/context-ledger.json. universal.idealCustomer field grounds reframe; progressive captures there may supersede playbook's initial objection list.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
