sii: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/session-start/SKILL.md

session-start is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from albertomarturelo/sii. It costs 58 tokens per session (348 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A session-start checklist that gives a short summary of a project's roadmap, recent changes, decisions, and open issues. A roadmap is a list of planned and completed work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to orient yourself before coding by reviewing recent commits, open GitHub issues, project decisions, and the current work focus.
Why use it?
It helps you understand where the project left off without reading the source code first. It highlights what is blocked and what should receive attention in the new session.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for Claude Code and Codex: disable-model-invocation in frontmatter, but also agents/openai.yaml present. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is albertomarturelo/sii's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on sii itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything sii configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.00348
Opus 5.5 $0.00023 $0.00139
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00035

Security

Grade A, and why

session-start scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Read the following files in order, then produce a brief summary:

  1. docs/ROADMAP.md — the surface checklist: what is shipped (✅), in progress (🚧), blocked (🔒) and planned (📋).
  2. docs/decisions/_index.md — any recent decisions that might affect current work.
  3. git log --oneline -10 + gh issue list --state open — what actually moved last, and what is still open.

Then state:

  • What was being worked on at the last session close.
  • What is currently blocked and why.
  • What should be the focus of THIS session.

Do NOT read source code files yet. The point of this command is to orient yourself in O(1k) tokens, not O(50k). Source code reading happens after the focus is chosen.

Derive "what was last worked on" from the recent commits and open issues, not from a status file: docs/CURRENT_STATUS.md is NOT versioned (untracked since #79) and may be absent or stale. If the last commit is more than a few days old, say so — the context may have moved on outside this repo.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

session-start is a skill published in the GitHub repository albertomarturelo/sii (16 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 58 tokens to every session and 348 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-24.
