folio-classify-asset

folio-classify-asset is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from alea-institute/folio-mcp. It costs 76 tokens per session (465 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for classifying assets using the FOLIO ontology, a structured vocabulary for describing types of assets. It places assets into categories such as physical property, intellectual property, financial resources, or an estate.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find matching FOLIO concepts, browse the asset taxonomy, and return the best concept with its definition, identifier, translations, and related references.
Why use it?
It provides a consistent official classification instead of relying on an informal label or guess.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00076 $0.00465
Opus 5 $0.00038 $0.00233
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00093
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00047

Security

Grade A, and why

folio-classify-asset scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Classify an Asset Type with FOLIO

Classify an asset against the FOLIO ontology's asset_types taxonomy branch.

Workflow

Given a description of an asset, follow these steps:

  1. Search for matches: Use folio:search_concepts with the asset name or description to find candidate asset types in FOLIO.

  2. Browse the asset types taxonomy: Use folio:get_taxonomy_branch("asset_types") to see the 4 top-level categories:

    • Tangible Assets: Physical assets (real property, equipment, inventory)
    • Intangible Assets: Non-physical assets (IP, goodwill, licenses)
    • Financial Assets: Economic resources (securities, accounts, derivatives)
    • Estate: All possessions, property, and rights of a person or entity
  3. Drill into the best category: Use folio:get_children(iri) on the most promising category to find the specific asset type.

  4. Get full details: Use folio:get_concept(iri) on the best match to retrieve the complete definition, translations, identifiers, and cross-references.

Output Format

Return the classification as:

  • FOLIO Label: The official FOLIO concept name
  • FOLIO IRI: The concept's unique identifier (e.g., https://folio.openlegalstandard.org/...)
  • Definition: The FOLIO definition of this asset type
  • Parent Category: The top-level asset category
  • Confidence: high / medium / low
  • Reasoning: Brief explanation of why this classification was chosen

If the asset could fall under multiple categories (e.g., a patent is both an Intangible Asset and potentially a Financial Asset), note both classifications.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
