cockpit: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/regen-cli-commands/SKILL.md

regen-cli-commands is a skill for Claude Code from alexjbarnes/cockpit. It costs 53 tokens per session (257 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A tool that rebuilds the map used to classify Claude Code slash commands, based on the installed Claude command-line program.

In plain words
What is it for?
Regenerating the command map, formatting it, showing command changes, and running its automated tests.
Why use it?
The map can become outdated after Claude Code is upgraded, causing commands to hang or be routed incorrectly in a terminal session.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00257
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00129
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00051
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00026

Measured 9d ago against content hash 267dfd903c88, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

regen-cli-commands scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Version check

  • Installed CLI: !claude --version
  • Map generated from: !grep CLI_VERSION src/lib/cli-commands.ts

Task

If the two versions match, the map is current — say so and stop unless a forced regen was requested.

Otherwise:

  1. Run node scripts/gen-cli-commands.mjs > src/lib/cli-commands.ts && npx biome format --write src/lib/cli-commands.ts
  2. Show git diff src/lib/cli-commands.ts and summarise the changes (added/removed commands, type or alias changes).
  3. Call out any command that moved between prompt and local/local-jsx — that shifts PTY routing and deserves a look.
  4. Run npx vitest run tests/cli-commands.test.ts to confirm the classifier contract holds.

Leave the diff for review; do not commit.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
