bite-ai-dietitian: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/inbox/SKILL.md

inbox is a skill for Claude Code from aligundogdu/bite-ai-dietitian. It costs 53 tokens per session (347 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool workflow that collects new text, photos, and voice notes from a Telegram bot and turns them into daily journal entries. Telegram is a messaging service; the bot must be started to collect pending messages.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps process reports about meals, workouts, weight, measurements, and meal photos, while skipping messages already recorded.
Why use it?
It avoids manually copying messages into the journal and warns when older undelivered messages may no longer be available.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00347
Opus 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00139
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00035

Measured 9d ago against content hash 3ea998121d3a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

inbox scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Process the Telegram inbox

The bot in bot/ is on-demand: it does not run all the time. Telegram keeps undelivered updates for ~24 hours, so starting the bot once collects everything sent since the last run.

Steps

  1. Start the bot in the background: cd bot && node src/bot.js.
  2. Wait a few seconds for pending updates to land in bot/data/messages/YYYY-MM-DD.json (media in bot/data/media/).
  3. Read the JSON. Skip messages already ingested (compare timestamps with the > 📌 quotes in the daily logs).
  4. For each new message:
    • food or drink → follow the log-meal skill
    • training → follow the log-training skill
    • weight or measurements → follow the weigh-in skill
    • photo of a meal → describe it, estimate, and ask for weights only if the estimate is shaky. Photos destined for bite/ must be converted to sRGB first (bite/scripts/to-srgb.sh).
  5. Stop the bot (kill the process) when done.
  6. Tell the user what was ingested in one short list. If something they expect is missing, ask them to check that the message shows as delivered in Telegram before assuming data loss. Messages older than ~24 hours are gone and need to be resent.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
