Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00062 | $0.01614 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00031 | $0.00807 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00012 | $0.00323 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00161 |
Grade A, and why
obsidian-markdown scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 149 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Obsidian Flavored Markdown
Obsidian extends standard Markdown (CommonMark + GitHub Flavored Markdown) with syntax for connecting and enriching notes: wikilinks, embeds, callouts, block references, tags, comments, highlights, and math.
When creating or editing notes, use the write_file tool for note bodies and the update_frontmatter tool for properties. Place all body content after the YAML frontmatter block (if present) — frontmatter must start with --- on line 1 and end with a closing ---.
Internal Links (Wikilinks)
Link to other notes by title — no path or extension needed unless disambiguating:
| Syntax | Meaning |
|---|---|
[[Note Name]] |
Link by note title |
[[Note Name|Display Text]] |
Custom display text |
[[Note Name#Heading]] |
Link to a heading within a note |
[[Note Name#^block-id]] |
Link to a specific block |
[[#Heading]] |
Link to a heading in the current note |
[[folder/Note Name]] |
Disambiguate when titles collide |
Wikilinks are the preferred linking style in Obsidian. Standard Markdown links ([text](path)) also work, but wikilinks integrate with the graph view, backlinks, and autocomplete.
Block References
Append a caret + identifier to the end of any block (paragraph, list item, etc.) to give it a stable anchor, then link to it:
This is an important paragraph. ^key-point
See [[Other Note#^key-point]] for context.
Block IDs may contain letters, numbers, and hyphens. Obsidian auto-generates one (e.g. ^a1b2c3) if you link to a block before naming it.
Embeds
Prefix any wikilink with ! to embed the target's content inline instead of linking to it:
| Syntax | Meaning |
|---|---|
![[Note Name]] |
Embed an entire note |
![[Note Name#Heading]] |
Embed one section |
![[Note Name#^block-id]] |
Embed a single block |
![[image.png]] |
Embed an image |
![[image.png|300]] |
Embed an image at 300px width |
![[image.png|300x200]] |
Width x height |
![[document.pdf]] |
Embed a PDF |
![[document.pdf#page=3]] |
Embed a specific PDF page |
![[recording.mp3]] |
Embed audio |
![[clip.mp4]] |
Embed video |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

obsidian-markdown is a skill published in the GitHub repository allenhutchison/obsidian-gemini (524 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 62 tokens to every session and 1,614 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
