omni-cache

omni-cache is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from alrcatraz/astra-aigate. It costs 31 tokens per session (343 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of omni-cache, MIT.

A set of controls for an LLM response cache, which stores previous model responses so matching requests can reuse them.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to view cache statistics, inspect cache details, clear cached responses, clear statistics, configure time-to-live policies, and set semantic-similarity thresholds.
Why use it?
It helps you inspect cache behaviour, remove stale entries, and adjust how long or how similarly responses must match before cached results are used.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.00343
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00171
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

omni-cache scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

Overview

Manage the LLM response cache. View cache statistics, clear entries, configure TTL policies, and control semantic-similarity caching thresholds.

Authentication

All requests require a valid Bearer token or session cookie. Obtain a token via POST /api/auth/login or configure REQUIRE_API_KEY=false for local development.

Endpoints

GET /api/cache

Get cache statistics

curl https://localhost:20128/api/cache \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN"

DELETE /api/cache

Clear all caches

curl -X DELETE https://localhost:20128/api/cache \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN"

GET /api/cache/stats

Get detailed cache statistics

Returns detailed statistics for all cache layers.

curl https://localhost:20128/api/cache/stats \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN"

DELETE /api/cache/stats

Clear cache statistics

curl -X DELETE https://localhost:20128/api/cache/stats \

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
