verification-pipeline

verification-pipeline is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ALTEN-group/coding-pal. It costs 77 tokens per session (561 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup tool for GitHub Actions workflows that install the repository's verification checks, run them in CI, probe preview environments, and try automated fixes within a limit. GitHub Actions is GitHub's system for running automated jobs on code changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to install and customize verify and remediation workflows, run deterministic checks in the agent loop and CI, and audit that the setup is still present.
Why use it?
It gives new repositories a repeatable verification process instead of requiring each project to assemble its own workflows. A separate check can confirm that the expected controls remain installed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00077 $0.00561
Opus 5.5 $0.00031 $0.00224
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00112
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00056

Security

Grade A, and why

verification-pipeline scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 3 executable files (scripts/rails-check.mjs, scripts/rails-check.test.mjs, scripts/rails-fixture.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Verification Pipeline

The same verification skeleton for every repository: automated checks and controls in the agent's loop, then the same checks and controls again in CI, and an auto-remediation loop that stops at the fix-loop limit.

When to Use This Skill

  • A new repository needs the Platform Rails: verify.yml, remediate.yml, a pull request template, and the controls installed.
  • A project must prove it still has the rails (CI check, onboarding review, drift audit).

Path resolution

Resolve references/ and scripts/ relative to this skill's install directory (the folder that contains this SKILL.md). If the skill was installed under .agents/skills/verification-pipeline/ or .claude/skills/verification-pipeline/, use that base path.

Workflow

  1. Read references/verification-pipeline-contract.md for what each job does, what to customize, and what rails-check verifies.
  2. Install the controls the pipeline runs (apm install) and list them in apm.yml.
  3. Copy the templates into the project and customize only the lines marked CUSTOMIZE:
mkdir -p .github/workflows
cp references/verify.yml .github/workflows/verify.yml
cp references/remediate.yml .github/workflows/remediate.yml
  1. Replace the PLACEHOLDER step in remediate.yml with the squad's agent runner. Add .github/pull_request_template.md. Put .github/workflows/ under CODEOWNERS (Architect).
  2. Verify the rails:
node scripts/rails-check.mjs --root . [--config rails.json]
  1. Treat a nonzero exit as a missing rail. Each missing item is printed. Add it, never remove it from the config to pass.

Done When

  • scripts/rails-check.mjs exits with code 0 on the project root.
  • verify.yml has the jobs clean-rerun, controls, and preview, and no step is allowed to fail silently.
  • remediate.yml has an agent runner in place of the placeholder, no production secrets, and the fix-loop limit of 5.
Files

What ships with it

6 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

verification-pipeline is a skill published in the GitHub repository ALTEN-group/coding-pal (5 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 77 tokens to every session and 561 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-14.
