pekko-cqrs-es-implementation

pekko-cqrs-es-implementation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from amadeus-dlc/amadeus. It costs 87 tokens per session (363 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An implementation guide for Scala 3 applications using Apache Pekko to combine CQRS and event sourcing. CQRS separates commands that change data from queries that read it, while event sourcing stores the changes as events.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to implement aggregate actors, commands, events, Protocol Buffers schemas, ZIO use cases, and read-model projections.
Why use it?
It gives structure to systems where state must be rebuilt from recorded events and read models must remain reliable after retries or serialization changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00087 $0.00363
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.00181
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00073
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

pekko-cqrs-es-implementation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Pekko CQRS/ES Implementation

Use this skill only when the implementation stack is Scala 3 plus Apache Pekko and the architecture is CQRS/Event Sourcing.

Workflow

  1. Confirm the aggregate, commands, events, state lifecycle, and serialization requirements.

  2. Keep the domain model separate from the Pekko actor shell.

  3. Model command handling as validation plus event emission.

  4. Apply events through pure state transition functions.

  5. Define Protocol Buffers schemas and evolution rules for persisted events.

  6. Put use-case orchestration in ZIO/application services, not inside the aggregate actor.

  7. Build read-model updaters as idempotent projections.

Implementation Checks

  • Commands should not mutate state directly.

  • Events are facts in past tense and must be versioned carefully.

  • Recovery must rebuild the same state from events.

  • Projection handlers must tolerate retries and duplicates.

  • Serialization compatibility is part of the public contract.

Detailed Reference

For non-trivial implementation, review, or refactoring work, read references/details.md before giving final guidance. It contains the detailed rules, examples, smells, and migration notes that do not belong in the short invocation body.

Output

Return aggregate actor structure, domain model APIs, command/event/state definitions, serialization notes, and projection flow.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
