project-templates

project-templates is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from AmineDjeghri/personal-os-setup. It costs 45 tokens per session (417 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of starter project templates for new Python packages, generative-AI or full-stack apps, and Home Assistant add-ons. Each template provides an existing repository structure and development tooling to build on.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps choose and fork a suitable base when creating a new package, full-stack or AI project, or Home Assistant add-on.
Why use it?
It avoids starting from an empty repository and reduces the need to set up testing, documentation, automation, and release machinery from scratch.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions AGENTS.md.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.00417
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00209
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00083
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

project-templates scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Starting a new project — pick a template

Never start from an empty repo. Fork the template matching the project type — all three already ship CI/CD, GitHub Pages docs site, pre-commit, and release tooling, so you replace content, not plumbing.

Build target Fork Stack / notes
Python package / library python-package-template uv-based package, tests, pre-commit, semantic-release
Generative-AI project, or full-stack (backend + frontend) generative-ai-project-template FastAPI + NiceGUI; litellm/ollama (cloud + local LLMs); langfuse observability
Home Assistant addon ha-addons (octo-fiesta pattern: per-addon config.yaml/Dockerfile/run.sh, HA Store release flow) — or fork it as the base for your own addon collection

Rules:

  1. Match the type first (package vs gen-ai/full-stack vs addon) — don't retrofit a template.
  2. Fork, don't clone — keep the upstream link so template improvements can be pulled in later.
  3. After forking, make the repo self-describing: add AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md + .claude/skills/ (see repo-conventions) so any agent works in it correctly from day one.
  4. Rebrand/rename the package per the template's own README before first use.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
