country-opportunities

country-opportunities is a skill for Claude Code from amirjahfar1/Google-Search-Console-GSC-MCP. It costs 36 tokens per session (399 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Search Console report that compares a website’s search performance across countries. It shows where traffic comes from and where many people see the site but rarely click or where it ranks poorly.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to identify the top countries, find high-impression countries with low click rates or weak rankings, and inspect the queries behind the best opportunities.
Why use it?
Country-level results can reveal markets that need localized content, language targeting, or other international SEO work. It helps distinguish strong markets from untapped opportunities.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00036 $0.00399
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00199
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00080
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00040

Measured 11d ago against content hash c23f3b7f8c03, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

country-opportunities scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Country Opportunities

Surface which countries drive the most traffic and which have high impressions but weak CTR/position — signals for international SEO opportunities (hreflang, localized content, geo-targeting).

Steps

  1. Call list_properties to confirm the exact site_url.
  2. Call get_advanced_search_analytics with:
    • dimensions=country
    • row_limit=50, sort_by=clicks, sort_direction=descending
    • Default last 28 days
  3. From the results, identify:
    • Top 5 countries by clicks (core markets)
    • High-impression, low-CTR countries (impressions > 500, ctr < 0.02) — visible but not converting to clicks
    • High-impression, weak-position countries (impressions > 500, position > 15) — visible in search but ranking poorly, a possible localization/content gap
  4. For the top 3 opportunity countries, call get_advanced_search_analytics again with dimensions=query, country and filters=[{"dimension":"country","operator":"equals","expression":"<country>"}] to surface the specific queries driving impressions there.

Output format

  • Table: Country | Clicks | Impressions | CTR | Avg Position
  • "Core markets" list (top 5)
  • "Opportunity markets" list with the specific queries behind each, and a one-line recommendation (localized landing page, hreflang check, translated content)

For a core market showing a sudden decline, follow up with new-vs-lost-queries filtered to that country to see what specifically dropped.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
