omp-flow: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/omp-flow-restate/SKILL.md

omp-flow-restate is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Andyduck-ops/omp-flow. It costs 65 tokens per session (708 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An intent-checking step that restates a person's purpose, expected result, and limits before work begins. It is used mainly for complex, unclear, corrected, or resumed requests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to clarify coding tasks, recover shared understanding after a pause, and confirm the boundaries of work before committing to a direction.
Why use it?
It helps catch misunderstandings before they lead to costly rework. It also gives the person a concise way to verify that the agent understood the request.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.00708
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00283
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00142
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00071

Security

Grade A, and why

omp-flow-restate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

OMP-Flow Restate

Restate the human's intent in your own words so the human can check it before work starts. This is the receiver-led check used in teach-back (healthcare) and readback/hearback (aviation), applied to meaning rather than wording: a model does not mis-copy words, so repeating them proves nothing, while restating the intent exposes a misreading. The restatement aligns; it does not ask permission.

How much

Build shared understanding only as far as the task needs (grounding, Clark and Brennan 1991). Skip the restatement for a simple, unambiguous request. Keep it short for ordinary work, and make it complete before work that is costly to redo.

Look first

Read the request, the material it points to, the repository, and any Task or Wiki Concept that bears on it. Restate what you understand after looking, and do not ask what the material already answers.

What to restate

Use the three parts of commander's intent (US joint planning doctrine, JP 5-0), in the human's language:

  • Purpose: what the human wants to achieve, and why.
  • End state: what "done" looks like.
  • Limits: what must not happen, or how much risk is acceptable.

Put the most likely misreading and your guesses first, and mark each guess as a guess. Add a fact you found only when it changes the purpose, the end state, or the limits, and say plainly when it conflicts with what the human asked for. Then say what you will do next.

Ask at most one question, and only when its answer changes the work; say what it would change. Agents that may ask about an underspecified task do markedly better, and failing to ask is a recurring cause of multi-agent failure.

Use standard terms

Follow the term rule in the omp-flow router Skill. In a restatement, when the human uses another word for a concept, map it in one sentence, such as "what you call X is Y here", instead of correcting them. This is the preferred-term mapping of ISO 25964 and W3C SKOS.

Then continue

When there is no open question, continue with the work in the same message. When there is one, state the assumption you will work on and continue; stop for the answer only when a wrong assumption would waste real work. When the human corrects the purpose, end state, or limits and a Task exists, update its framing Concept, because chat does not survive compaction.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

omp-flow-restate is a skill published in the GitHub repository Andyduck-ops/omp-flow (6 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 65 tokens to every session and 708 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-28.
