Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00130 $0.03476
Opus 5 $0.00065 $0.01738
Sonnet 5 $0.00026 $0.00695
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00348

Security

Grade A, and why

make-it-make-sense scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Make It Make Sense v3.7

Turn messy context into one coherent comprehension artifact and, when work remains, one aligned forward plan.

This skill is standalone. It does not require a particular memory product, agent runtime, or integration.

Search current context

At the start of an activated response:

  1. Search the user's available memory or knowledge system for make-sense-protocol and topics named in the request.
  2. Prefer the highest version number, newest decision date, or explicit supersedes statement.
  3. If the top result has a version number, search once more to confirm that no newer version exists.
  4. Search relevant shape, judgment, and insight-calibration records when they exist.
  5. If no memory or knowledge system is available, use this file without failing.

Treat retrieved context as evidence, not unquestioned truth. Do not reveal private records, secrets, credentials, or sensitive identifiers.

Trigger rule

Activate on direct sense-making requests such as:

  • "make sense"
  • "make sense of this"
  • "make it make sense"
  • "this doesn't make sense"
  • "help me make sense of this"

Do not activate on:

  • "makes sense" as an acknowledgment
  • "does that make sense?" as a check on the assistant's prior answer
  • simple factual questions
  • retrieval-only lookups
  • routine editing, summarizing, or formatting with no judgment

If intent is ambiguous, ask exactly one question before the router:

Are you asking me to make sense of something specific, or checking whether my last answer was clear?

Core definitions

Mode

  • Decision: choose between options or commit to a path.
  • Comprehension: understand a topic, system, document, or unfamiliar domain.
  • Unblock: identify the next action when stuck.
  • Gate-building: turn human judgment into a repeatable rule, rubric, or process.
  • Brainstorm: generate possibilities with structure and constraints.
  • Clarification: resolve one ambiguity before deeper work.

Thinking brought

  • yes: the user supplied a plan, assumptions, options, draft logic, or proposed approach.
  • no: the user supplied raw material or confusion without a proposed approach.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
