skillify

skillify is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from AnkitClassicVision/ankit_shared_skills. It costs 80 tokens per session (1,838 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository analysis tool that creates a living reference pack describing a codebase for coding agents. A repository is the folder containing a project's source code and related files; the pack can include file structure, interfaces, entry points, dependencies, and inferred design decisions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when onboarding an agent, preparing an existing project for automated work, feeding codebase context into specification diagrams, or reviewing a repository after a refactor.
Why use it?
It gives agents shared context when working in an existing codebase, where important structure and decisions may not be obvious. Timestamped snapshots help track changes without destructively replacing earlier records.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00080 $0.01838
Opus 5 $0.00040 $0.00919
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00368
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00184

Security

Grade A, and why

skillify scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/skillify.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

/skillify — Universal Codebase Skillification

One-line pitch

Point it at any repo. Get a .skill-pack/ manifest that turns the repo into a consumable skill for agents. Three context layers, annotated interfaces, inferred ADRs — machine-readable, always fresh, never destructive. Works on Python, JS, Go, Rust, Markdown, monorepos.

Invocation

/skillify [path]
  • path: Repo path (defaults to .)
  • Zero flags. All behavior auto-detected:
    • Scans the repo live (never reads stale .run-project/)
    • Determines analysis tier from size:
      • Surface (<100 LOC): file map + extension distribution
      • Shallow (100–2000 LOC): + semantic contracts + entry points
      • Deep (>2000 LOC): + import graph, circular deps, deep scores, hotspots
    • Writes .skill-pack/ directory with timestamped snapshots
    • Never overwrites destructively — appends with timestamps

When to use it

Situation Why
Starting /run-project on brownfield Give the pipeline a pre-built skill manifest
During spec diagramming .skill-pack/PROJECT.md feeds into SEEIT
Post-refactor audit Re-skillify to update context
Onboarding a new AI agent Point it at .skill-pack/PROJECT.md first
Any repo that agents need to understand Reusable context, always current

What it produces

.skill-pack/
  PROJECT.md # Repo-as-skill manifest
  context/
structural.json # Module map, import graph, circular deps
semantic.json # Type signatures, contracts, entry points
philosophical.json # Deep scores, hotspots, recommendations
  interfaces/
{module}.md # Annotated public API per module
  adrs/
    adr-{NNN}.md # Inferred architectural decisions

Tiered analysis

Tier Trigger What gets analyzed
Surface <100 LOC File map, extensions, module names, basic metadata
Shallow 100–2000 LOC + AST parsing for Python, function/class signatures, entry points, basic contracts
Deep >2000 LOC + Full import graph, circular dependency detection, deep module scoring, hotspots, refactoring recommendations

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

skillify is a skill published in the GitHub repository AnkitClassicVision/ankit_shared_skills (11 stars, last pushed 23d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 80 tokens to every session and 1,838 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
