Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00048 | $0.00584 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00024 | $0.00292 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00010 | $0.00117 |

Grade A, and why
context-management scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 69 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Context Management
Protect the working context for the decisions that remain. Do not spend it on raw material that will not affect the next action.
Read With A Question
Before opening a large file, log, diff, document, image set, or search result, state the question it must answer. Then read only the relevant section, fields, or examples.
- Prefer a targeted search, range, filter, or screenshot page over reading the whole source.
- Do not reread material already understood. Keep a short note with the fact, evidence location, uncertainty, and next action.
- Read more only when the current evidence cannot support the decision. Do not collect background merely because it is available.
Keep A Compact Working Record
When a task has several phases, preserve only what the next phase needs:
- the goal and constraints;
- decisions made and why;
- direct evidence and its location;
- open questions, risks, and the next action.
Summarise verbose tool output in those terms. Do not paste a long transcript into later work unless its exact wording is necessary.
Delegate Only When It Helps
Delegate a large investigation when it has a clear question, can be explored independently, and the main task can proceed from a concise evidence-backed summary.
- Give the delegate a bounded scope and the facts it must return.
- Ask for source locations and uncertainty, not a retelling of every file read.
- Inspect important evidence yourself before making a consequential decision.
- Keep small, tightly coupled reads in the main thread. Do not create agents merely to avoid reading a few relevant files.
Load Instructions Progressively
Keep rules used on nearly every invocation in the active skill. Keep variants, language details, and rare procedures in directly linked references. Load one reference when the task needs it; do not load a catalog speculatively.
Reassess Before Context Becomes A Problem
Pause before a broad new phase, a long fan-out, or a large raw payload. Restate the current decision and choose the smallest next read or delegated task that can resolve it. If the context is already crowded, make a compact handoff record before continuing.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

context-management is a skill published in the GitHub repository AnthonyPoschen/agent-skills (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 584 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
