archify_sequence

archify_sequence is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from antoinebou12/uml-mcp. It costs 72 tokens per session (703 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A diagram-writing guide for sequence diagrams, which show participants and the ordered calls and replies passed between them.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to map flows such as a cache-miss request moving through a web app, API, authentication, cache, and database.
Why use it?
It helps explain the exact order of interactions in a request, including replies and repeated calls, using the format expected by the diagram tools.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.00703
Opus 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00281
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00141
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00070

Security

Grade A, and why

archify_sequence scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

archify_sequence diagram (uml-mcp plugin archify)

diagram_type: archify_sequence
Backend: plugin:archify (bundled with uml-mcp, on by default)
Output formats: html, svg

Sequence diagram: participants across the top, lifelines and ordered call and reply messages; dark, light or auto. JSON participants and messages; html or svg

Load the workflow skill uml-mcp-diagrams and the focused guide skill://uml-mcp-guides/archify/SKILL.md. This file is notation only; it does not add an MCP tool.

Example prompt

Sequence diagram of a cache-miss request through web, API, auth, Redis and Postgres.

Notation tips

  • participants (id, name, role, icon, tone) and ordered messages (from, to, label, style, note).
  • style: "dashed" marks a reply; a message to the same participant draws a loop; autonumber: true numbers them.

Styling

Pass theme (auto, dark or light) to generate_uml / generate_uml_image, or set it in the source. auto follows the reader's system in the HTML page and is dark in static SVG and PNG.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
