done

done is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ao92265/claude-code-playbook. It costs 222 tokens per session (933 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A verification check that runs the available type checks, code-quality checks, tests, and build before a task is called finished.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it before marking work complete, committing changes, handing work back, or reporting test results.
Why use it?
It prevents claiming success when one of the required checks has failed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00222 $0.00933
Opus 5 $0.00111 $0.00466
Sonnet 5 $0.00044 $0.00187
Haiku 4.5 $0.00022 $0.00093

Measured 5d ago against content hash ae97b9332483, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-05, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

done scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 91 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Done — Verification Gate

A "done" claim without a verification command and exit code is a guess. This skill makes the gate mechanical.

Protocol

  1. Detect entrypoint. From the repo root:

    • If jq -e '.scripts."ci:local"' package.json succeeds → run npm run ci:local.
    • Else discover available scripts: typecheck, lint, test, build. Run them in that order. Skip silently if a script does not exist.
    • For monorepos with frontend/ and backend/ workspaces (Wraith pattern): also run the frontend variants (typecheck:frontend, lint:frontend, test:frontend).
  2. Capture exit code per stage. Print one line per stage:

    [done] typecheck: exit=0
    [done] lint: exit=0
    [done] test: exit=1 <- failure

  3. Refuse green summary on any failure. If any stage exits non-zero:

    • Print the failing stage's last 30 lines of output.
    • Print STATUS: FAIL — do not claim done.
    • Do NOT commit, push, or mark the task complete.
  4. On full pass: print STATUS: PASS — all gates green. Then proceed with whatever the user asked next (commit, PR, summary, etc.).

Reference — Wraith Repo Specifics

/Users/aoreilly/Repos/Wraith exposes npm run ci:local which expands to:

npm run lint && npm run typecheck && npm run test:backend \
  && npm run lint:frontend && npm run typecheck:frontend \
&& npm --prefix frontend run test:run

This is the preferred entrypoint there. frontend/src/generated/ is excluded by lint-staged via --ignore-pattern; the skill inherits that — it only runs project scripts and does not file-walk.

Hard Rules

  • Run from the repo root. If you're in a subdirectory, cd to root first.
  • Never silence non-zero exits with || true or 2>/dev/null.
  • Long stages (build, full test) → use run_in_background and Monitor. Don't poll with sleep loops.
  • If npm install is needed first, that's a different skill (/check-env). Do not auto-install dependencies.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

done is a skill published in the GitHub repository ao92265/claude-code-playbook (10 stars, last pushed 19d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 222 tokens to every session and 933 once invoked, about $0.0011 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
