What is aosp-appendices?

A reference guide to important Android Open Source Project files, terms, abbreviations, and selected changes between Android 16 and Android 17. AOSP is the publicly available source code behind the Android platform.

Use it to find source files, define terms such as Treble, VINTF, GKI, APEX, AIDL, and HIDL, understand Kotlin's role in AOSP, or check Android 16-to-17 changes.

It removes the need to search through the source tree or guess what Android-specific terms mean.
