ciphr

ciphr is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 70 tokens per session (1,618 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of acerta, Apache-2.0.

An integration guide for CIPHR, a human-resources system, through Apideck’s shared HRIS API. HRIS means software for employee and workforce records.

In plain words
What is it for?
Reading or syncing employees, departments, payroll records, and time-off records in CIPHR.
Why use it?
It avoids writing separate connection code for CIPHR. The connector is in beta, so some records or operations may not be fully supported.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00070 $0.01618
Opus 5 $0.00035 $0.00809
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00324
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00162

Measured 5d ago against content hash 9e2639788ce6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ciphr scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

CIPHR (via Apideck)

Access CIPHR through Apideck's HRIS unified API — one of 58 HRIS connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to BambooHR, Workday, Deel and 54 other HRIS connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant CIPHR plumbing.

Beta connector. CIPHR is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

When to use this skill

Activate this skill when the user explicitly wants to work with CIPHR — for example, "sync employees in CIPHR" or "list time-off requests in CIPHR". This skill teaches the agent:

  1. Which Apideck unified API covers CIPHR (HRIS)
  2. The correct serviceId to pass on every call (ciphr)
  3. CIPHR-specific auth and coverage caveats

For the full method surface (parameters, pagination, filtering), use your language SDK skill:

For the raw OpenAPI spec:

Minimal example (TypeScript)

import { Apideck } from "@apideck/unify";

const apideck = new Apideck({
  apiKey: process.env.APIDECK_API_KEY,
  appId: process.env.APIDECK_APP_ID,
  consumerId: "your-consumer-id",
});

// List employees in CIPHR
const { data } = await apideck.hris.employees.list({
  serviceId: "ciphr",
});

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
