etsy

etsy is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 64 tokens per session (2,039 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A connector for using Etsy, an online marketplace, through Apideck’s shared e-commerce API. It provides access to stores, products, orders, and customers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read, write, or synchronise Etsy products, orders, customers, and store data. Etsy support is in beta, so some operations may be missing.
Why use it?
It avoids writing Etsy-specific connection code and dealing separately with authentication, pagination, rate limits, and retries. The same integration approach can be adapted to other supported online stores.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00064 $0.02039
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00816
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00408
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00204

Security

Grade A, and why

etsy scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Etsy (via Apideck)

Access Etsy through Apideck's Ecommerce unified API — one of 17 Ecommerce connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to Shopify, BigCommerce, Shopify (Public App) and 13 other Ecommerce connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Etsy plumbing.

Beta connector. Etsy is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: moderate — Self-Service App Registration + Etsy App Review
  • Vendor partnership required: no (Etsy developer portal) — Etsy runs no partner programme; any Etsy account holder can register an app.
  • Apideck-managed credentials: not available — Each connection supplies its own Etsy app's Keystring and Shared Secret.
  • Account type required: Etsy account with an active shop
  • Consumer access level: Sign-in to the Etsy account that holds the shop being connected
  • Sandbox: not available — Etsy's testing policy is to test on production with a real shop, where listing fees apply.
  • Rate limits: Per-app QPS and QPD limits, shown in the Etsy Developer Portal.
  • Authentication: Authorization Code flow with PKCE; requests also carry the app's key in the x-api-key header.
  • Webhooks: No webhooks - data is read by polling.

Important to know:

  • Etsy gates access by app type. A Seller App is approved within minutes but can only ever connect the shop of the person who registered it; connecting other sellers' shops needs a Personal App and, at scale, Commercial Access, which Etsy reviews manually.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
