magento

magento is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 65 tokens per session (2,129 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of bigcommerce, Apache-2.0.

An integration for working with Magento store data through Apideck, a service that provides one interface for several e-commerce systems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read, create, update, or sync orders, products, customers, and stores in Magento.
Why use it?
It avoids writing separate authentication, pagination, rate-limit, and retry code for Magento. The connector is in beta, so some features may not be covered.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.02129
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00852
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00426
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00213

Security

Grade A, and why

magento scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Magento (via Apideck)

Access Magento through Apideck's Ecommerce unified API — one of 17 Ecommerce connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to Shopify, BigCommerce, Shopify (Public App) and 13 other Ecommerce connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Magento plumbing.

Beta connector. Magento is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: involved — Custom Auth + Manual Per-Consumer Integration Setup
  • Vendor partnership required: no
  • Apideck-managed credentials: not available — Each consumer creates an integration in their own Magento store.
  • Account type required: Magento Open Source 2.x, or Adobe Commerce 2.x on-premises or on Adobe's cloud infrastructure (PaaS).
  • Consumer access level: A Magento Admin user with permission to manage integrations.
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — Install Magento Open Source on your own server or container and create an integration there; Adobe hosts no test store, so this takes server skills.
  • Costs: Integration tokens are a built-in Admin feature of the store; Adobe publishes no separate API fee.
  • Rate limits: No general REST quota is published; Adobe's opt-in rate limiting covers checkout and payment endpoints only.
  • Authentication: Four credentials from a Magento integration sign each request, OAuth 1.0a style; no redirect flow.
  • Webhooks: Virtual webhooks - order, product and customer events (created, updated, deleted)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
