gps-accounts

gps-accounts is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from appeeky/google-play-console-cli. It costs 38 tokens per session (351 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup guide for managing several Google Play service-account keys and the Android apps they access with the gps command-line tool. A service account is a Google identity used by software to access approved Play Console data.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add and list accounts, register apps, check the local registry, switch accounts, and run Google Play Publisher commands for a selected app.
Why use it?
It prevents confusion when one developer works with multiple Google Play accounts or apps. It records app and account defaults and makes switching between them explicit.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00038 $0.00351
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00176
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00035

Security

Grade A, and why

gps-accounts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Multi-account and apps

Facts agents must know

  1. One SA key can access many apps if those apps (or account-level access) were granted in Play Console.
  2. Google Publisher API cannot list apps. There is no applications.list. gps apps list reads the local registry in ~/.config/gps/config.json.
  3. Pass --package (or registered defaultPackage) on every Publisher call.

Setup

gps accounts add phosum --credentials /secrets/phosum-sa.json --default-package com.phosum --default
gps accounts add acme --credentials /secrets/acme-sa.json --default-package com.acme.app

gps apps add com.phosum --account phosum --name Phosum --default
gps apps add com.other.app --account phosum --name Other
gps apps add com.acme.app --account acme --name Acme

gps accounts list
gps apps list
gps apps check

Switching

gps --account phosum tracks list
gps --account acme --package com.acme.app reviews list
gps accounts use acme

If a package is registered under exactly one account, --account can be omitted.

MCP: optional tool arg account; tools gps_list_accounts, gps_list_apps, gps_register_account, gps_register_app.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
