pricing-experiments

pricing-experiments is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from appeeky/stripe-skills. It costs 66 tokens per session (392 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A plan for testing subscription prices and measuring their effects. An A/B test compares two versions, such as an existing price and a new price, with different customer groups.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design price tests, create new prices, keep existing customers on their old price when needed, and compare results after a price increase.
Why use it?
It provides a structured way to assess price changes while tracking conversion, revenue per customer, and later cancellations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00066 $0.00392
Opus 5 $0.00033 $0.00196
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

pricing-experiments scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Pricing Experiments

Stripe MCP Setup

Requires Stripe MCP (https://docs.stripe.com/mcp). GetMcpTools before CallMcpTool. Paginate all lists (limit: 100, starting_after while has_more). Amounts in cents. Read-only for audits; confirm before writes.

Workflow

  1. Baseline: current prices + subs per price (pricing-products-audit)
  2. Design test:
    • New Price object (never edit existing -- create new)
    • Split traffic at checkout (price ID by cohort/flag)
    • Grandfather existing subs (leave on old price)
  3. Metrics to compare: conversion %, ARPU, churn at 30/60d

Price Increase Playbook

Step Action
1 Create new higher price
2 New customers -> new price
3 Existing -> keep or migrate with notice (email + subscriptions.update)
4 Measure churn delta post-migration

Output Template

Pricing Test Plan

Hypothesis: [raising X->Y increases ARPU without >Zpp churn]
Variants: control [price_A] vs test [price_B]
Sample size needed: [N per arm]
Success metric: ARPU / conversion / 30d retention
Grandfathering: [policy]

Never mutate a live Price -- always create a new one.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pricing-experiments is a skill published in the GitHub repository appeeky/stripe-skills (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 66 tokens to every session and 392 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
