Getting it into your agent
This one installs as part of its plugin. Adding the marketplace and installing the plugin brings it with everything else the plugin ships.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00082 | $0.02660 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00033 | $0.01064 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00016 | $0.00532 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00266 |
Grade A, and why
maintain scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 18d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 108 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Maintain Skill — Apply Detected Tooling Drift and Approved Lessons
You are running onboard's maintain apply step. The caller has already run maintain-detect.sh (a script, no model) and, optionally, collected lessons its owner approved. Your job is narrow: write the report's apply items and the approved lessons into tooling — verbatim, one line per fact, in each file's own style — and record what you did. The run is non-interactive: nobody will answer a question, so never ask one. Unsure → defer, never guess.
You may be running in the caller's main session or inside a subagent; the steps are the same (you need only the paths and the repository).
Input
File paths only, given as detect=<path> out=<path> [lessons=<path>] or as a JSON object with those keys:
| Key | File | Contract |
|---|---|---|
detect |
the detect report | ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/schemas/maintain-detect.json |
lessons |
approved lessons (optional) | ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/schemas/maintain-lessons.json |
out |
where the result goes | ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/schemas/maintain-result.json |
Who writes what
.claude/ is a protected path in Claude Code: your Write and Edit tools may not write there in an unattended run. So:
- You edit
CLAUDE.mdfiles (Step 3) with the Edit tool. maintain-write.shwrites lesson entries (Step 4) and records every result entry;maintain-guard.sh after --resultwrites the result file (Step 5). Never write under.claude/or theoutfile with your own tools.
Read files — the inputs, tooling files, and this skill's references/ — with the Read tool. Run every helper from the repository root as its own bash "<script>" … call — no cd, no shell variables, no ; or && chains, no pipes. Pass every free-text value — lesson text, evidence summary and ref, the summaries you compose — in single quotes, exactly as given, and write an apostrophe inside it as '\'' (don't → 'don'\''t'). Never double quotes: inside them bash runs `backticks` and expands $names before the helper sees the text, and lesson text is markdown, full of backticks:
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

maintain is a skill published in the GitHub repository ApurvBazari/claude-plugins (1 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 82 tokens to every session and 2,660 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-29.
