flutter-doc-scanner

flutter-doc-scanner is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ariaramin/flutter-skills. It costs 59 tokens per session (4,828 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Flutter integration for capturing physical documents with Android's Google document scanner and Apple's VisionKit, then returning images or a PDF.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to scan IDs, receipts, invoices, or multi-page paperwork in a Flutter app, including automatic single-photo scans and PDF creation.
Why use it?
It removes the need to build platform-specific camera scanning flows yourself. It also helps handle platform differences such as permissions, file locations, and scan failures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00059 $0.04828
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.01931
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00966
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00483

Security

Grade A, and why

flutter-doc-scanner scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 16d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

flutter_doc_scanner Production Engineering Skill

Purpose and Scope

Activate this skill whenever a Flutter task involves or references the flutter_doc_scanner package (pub.dev), including:

  • Integrating native document capture for physical documents, ID cards, receipts, invoices, or multi-page paperwork using native platform engines.
  • Using or configuring FlutterDocScanner, ImageScanResult, PdfScanResult, ImageFormat, or handling DocScanException.
  • Capturing scanned documents as high-resolution images (getScannedDocumentAsImages) or compiled multi-page PDFs (getScannedDocumentAsPdf).
  • Utilizing fast single-picture zero-review scanning via useAutomaticSinglePictureProcessing: true (Android Base Mode & iOS AutoScan).
  • Handling Android-specific content URIs vs iOS file paths.
  • Configuring native host environments: Android Gradle (compileSdk 34, minSdk 21, Google Play Services ML Kit) and iOS (NSCameraUsageDescription, VisionKit, iOS 13+).
  • Debugging native crashes (missing camera permission descriptions, missing Google Play Services, simulator incompatibilities, SCAN_IN_PROGRESS concurrency issues).
  • Implementing proper file cleanup lifecycles to avoid iOS sandbox disk bloat.
  • Writing unit, widget, and integration tests with mocked platform channels.

Out of Scope:

  • Custom in-app camera viewfinder widgets with custom Flutter UI frames (use document_camera_frame or camerawesome).
  • Pure headless edge-detection and perspective transformation on pre-existing image files without camera capture (use document_scan).
  • Web, macOS, Windows, or Linux scanning — while package stubs exist, scanning is unsupported on desktop and web in v0.0.21.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

flutter-doc-scanner is a skill published in the GitHub repository ariaramin/flutter-skills (6 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 59 tokens to every session and 4,828 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-11.
