claude-forge: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/scaffold-nodejs-express/SKILL.md

scaffold-nodejs-express is a skill for Claude Code from arunanksharan/claude-forge. It costs 102 tokens per session (472 once invoked), scanned A, original, Unlicense.

A project starter for building Node.js web servers with Express, a framework for handling web requests. It includes guidance for databases, validation, authentication, background workers, logging, monitoring, and tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to start a Node.js and Express API with Drizzle, JWT login, BullMQ background jobs, OpenTelemetry monitoring, and Vitest and Supertest tests as needed.
Why use it?
It removes the need to design the initial project structure and wiring for these common backend parts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00102 $0.00472
Opus 5 $0.00051 $0.00236
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00047

Measured 7d ago against content hash 9e0c5c893cf7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

scaffold-nodejs-express scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Scaffold Node + Express Project (claudeforge)

Follow the master prompt at backend/nodejs-express/PROMPT.md. Steps:

  1. Confirm parameters: project_name, project_slug (kebab-case), db_name, api_port, ORM choice (default Drizzle), include flags for BullMQ / auth / OTel.
  2. Read backend/nodejs-express/PROMPT.md — directory tree, deps, key files (package.json, env, app.ts, server.ts, routes.ts, error handler, lib/errors, async-handler, factory pattern for users module).
  3. Read deep-dives as needed:
    • 01-project-layout.md — factory function pattern, no DI container
    • 02-drizzle-and-migrations.md — schema + queries
    • 03-validation-with-zod.md
    • 04-auth-jwt.md (if include_auth) — hand-rolled, no Passport
    • 05-bullmq-workers.md (if include_bullmq)
    • 06-testing-vitest-supertest.md
  4. Generate: scaffold tree, package.json with locked deps, db client + schema, app factory, server bootstrap with graceful shutdown, Users module (factory functions: repository → service → controller → router), error handler, auth middleware if requested, BullMQ workers if requested.
  5. Verify: pnpm install, pnpm db:generate && pnpm db:migrate, pnpm test, pnpm lint — clean.
  6. Hand off: setup steps.

Enforce the factory pattern strictly — no top-level singletons, no DI containers, no utils/ junk drawer.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
