procurement-skill

procurement-skill is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from arunbalajiraju-proc/procurement-ai-assistant. It costs 33 tokens per session (3,608 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A base workflow for AI-assisted procurement work, such as sourcing suppliers, managing contracts, and preparing purchasing decisions. It structures the work as understanding, research, analysis, drafting, checking, and human approval.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to research suppliers, draft procurement documents, analyse options, check risks, and prepare decisions for human review.
Why use it?
It keeps procurement tasks organised and highlights risks and decisions that still need a procurement professional or legal reviewer.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.03608
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.01804
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00722
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00361

Security

Grade A, and why

procurement-skill scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Skill Name

Procurement Workflow Builder - Base Skill

Purpose

This skill helps AI support procurement work through structured, repeatable workflows instead of one-off prompts.

Use this as the base procurement skill for building an AI-assisted procurement workflow library. It should help the AI understand procurement context, follow the correct order of work, apply commercial and risk judgment, and produce outputs that are useful for a procurement professional to review.

This skill does not replace procurement judgment, legal review, evaluator scoring, supplier selection, or final approval. It supports research, drafting, analysis, quality checks, and structured decision preparation.

Core Principle

Procurement AI should not jump straight to the final answer.

It should follow a workflow:

Understand -> Research -> Structure -> Challenge -> Draft -> Validate -> Escalate -> Human Decision

The goal is not to create a folder of random prompts. The goal is to create a reusable procurement workflow library.

When to Use

Use this skill when the user needs help with procurement, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, or procurement workflow automation.

Common use cases include:

  • Procurement intake review
  • Market and supplier research
  • RFP, RFB, RFQ, RFI, SOW, or evaluation document drafting
  • Pricing model review
  • SLA and KPI review
  • Contract commercial risk review
  • Supplier risk review
  • Evaluation criteria review
  • Evaluation defensibility checks
  • Negotiation preparation
  • Spend analysis
  • SaaS renewal review
  • Supplier QBR preparation
  • Vendor management workflows
  • Renewal, extension, transition, or exit planning
  • Building specialized procurement SKILL.md files

Relationship to Future Skills

This is the base skill. It should not become one giant procurement skill that tries to do everything in detail.

For repeatable workflows, create separate child skill files, such as:

  • procurement-intake-skill.md
  • market-research-skill.md
  • rfp-drafting-skill.md
  • pricing-model-review-skill.md
  • sla-review-skill.md
  • contract-risk-review-skill.md
  • evaluation-defensibility-skill.md
  • negotiation-prep-skill.md
  • spend-analysis-skill.md
  • supplier-qbr-skill.md
  • renewal-review-skill.md
  • vendor-management-skill.md

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
