vue

vue is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ashish7802/awesome-api-skills. It costs 0 tokens per session (477 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A JavaScript framework for building user interfaces from reusable components. Vue 3 includes a Composition API for sharing stateful logic between components.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create Vue components, organize reusable logic with composables, and handle errors from nested parts of an interface.
Why use it?
It provides a structured way to make interface data update when the underlying values change.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00477
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00238
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00095
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

vue scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (examples/component.ts, examples/composable.ts), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Quick Start

Vue 3 utilizes the Composition API, offering a highly logical and reactive way to structure components compared to the legacy Options API.

npm create vue@latest

Production Patterns

Composables

Vue's equivalent to React hooks. Use ref and computed inside standalone JavaScript functions to encapsulate and reuse stateful logic across multiple .vue components.

Architecture & Scaling

Reactivity System

Vue 3 uses JavaScript Proxies for reactivity. This means modifying nested properties of a reactive object works seamlessly without needing immutable state replacement (unlike React's setState).

Error Recovery

Utilize onErrorCaptured at the layout level to catch and log errors thrown by descendant components gracefully.

Security Notes

Be extremely cautious with the v-html directive. It renders raw HTML directly to the DOM and is a primary vector for XSS attacks if the input is not strictly sanitized.

Alternatives: react

Why use this skill

Use this when your agent works with vue — structured patterns beat pasted docs and prevent common hallucinations.

AI pitfalls

  • Using outdated SDK or API versions from training data
  • Inventing environment variable names
  • Omitting error handling and retry logic

Production checklist

  • Secrets in environment variables, not source code
  • Error handling and logging in place
  • Rate limits and timeouts configured

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

vue is a skill published in the GitHub repository ashish7802/awesome-api-skills (13 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 477 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
