kamehadb: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/setup-openez/SKILL.md

setup-openez is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from asta-nguyen/kamehadb. It costs 31 tokens per session (1,341 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A setup procedure for OpenEZ, a code-intelligence tool that indexes a repository for semantic searches, relationship tracing, and saved context.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to initialize and refresh an OpenEZ index so an agent can inspect callers, dependencies, and related code.
Why use it?
It prepares the repository when code search or relationship data is missing or out of date. It also checks required tools and asks before installing missing ones.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents); mentions AGENTS.md.

This is asta-nguyen/kamehadb's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on kamehadb itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything kamehadb configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.01341
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00536
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00268
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00134

Security

Grade A, and why

setup-openez scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 19d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Setup OpenEZ

OpenEZ provides MCP tools for semantic code queries, graph traversal, and memory recall. This skill bootstraps it for a repository.

Prerequisites

  1. Bun 1.1+ — check with bun --version. If missing, ask the user to authorize installation before continuing. Do not install silently.

  2. OpenEZ CLI — check with openez --version. If missing, explain that a global CLI install is needed and ask the user to authorize it before running:

    npm install -g @openez-graph/cli

Process

Resume after client wiring: If a previous session completed client wiring, skip steps 1–4 and go to step 5. Re-index only if the index is missing or stale, and only after the user approves it (step 2).

  1. Initialize the workspace index. Ask the user before running openez init (it creates a .openez/ directory of derived index data) and wait for approval. Ensure .gitignore contains .openez/; append it only when missing and preserve existing content. Never untrack an existing .openez/ path automatically; report it instead. If .openez/ does not exist and the user approved, run:

    openez init .

  2. Index the repository when needed. Ask the user first and wait for approval; indexing a large repository can take a while. Then run:

    openez index .

Use it for initial setup or when the index is missing or stale. Report progress and check the command result: a nonzero exit means indexing failed; do not report the index as created. A successful CLI run confirms that command completed, not that the MCP query works.

  3. Record in AGENTS.md:

If AGENTS.md exists and does not mention OpenEZ, present the exact block in ## Code intelligence block below and wait for the user's approval before adding it.

If the user declines, leave AGENTS.md unchanged and report that the guidance was not added. If AGENTS.md does not exist, skip this step; setup-codebase owns its creation.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
