kamehadb: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/using-devkit/SKILL.md

using-devkit is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from asta-nguyen/kamehadb. It costs 30 tokens per session (1,448 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A repository-workflow guide for coding agents working in a project that has Agent Devkit installed. It tells the agent which workflow to use, how to read existing code, and how to name and link new documents.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding features, fixing bugs, reviewing code, writing documentation, estimating work, or handling an unfamiliar request in a Devkit repository.
Why use it?
It reduces mistakes caused by changing files before understanding the codebase or by creating inconsistent process documents and broken links.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is asta-nguyen/kamehadb's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on kamehadb itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything kamehadb configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.01448
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00579
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00290
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00145

Measured 19d ago against content hash 719398412702, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

using-devkit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 19d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 103 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Using Devkit

Choose the owning workflow skill and follow its instructions. Read context first: read-codebase-context, or setup-codebase on a first visit.

Shared rules

  • Name a new process artifact YYYY-MM-DD-<issue-id>-<slug> (before any type suffix) only when the task or a related artifact, including its filename, gives an issue ID; never infer one or rename an artifact.
  • Link internally with relative Markdown links; convert legacy [[...]] links in any document you edit and report unresolvable targets.
  • Never put process artifacts in or link them from docs/llm/.
  • Commit/push only on explicit request, after a final review-and-verify pass. One branch/PR per task; no locks or coordination tools. For conflicts in docs/agent-devkit/INDEX.md or docs/llm/INDEX.md, preserve every task link and verify targets.
  • Working-tree changes are user-owned: "clean up" never authorizes git reset --hard, git clean, git stash, or deletes, even after a backup. Ask first.

Handoffs and stops

  • Call the next skill directly. Stop only for approval, user question/action, or a stalled fix loop. Route handoffs advance; repair handoffs return to caller.
  • Each route has one approval: Bounded chat design or Architectural design.md + tasks.md (+ delta.md). It authorizes implementation through review; ask again only for a material change to scope, behavior, interface, schema, or risk. An instruction before the approved files existed is not approval.
  • Stop where the user limited the request ("plan only"); never call implement-task without a request to implement.
  • Baseline: before the first source edit, run existing relevant checks and record failures. If none, note it; no baseline-only test/runner. Implementation includes documentation: call document-wiki's ## Task updates when an existing wiki needs an in-scope update; stale or missing coverage blocks completion. Merge, archive, and relinking need no extra approval.
  • Every turn that ends a skill, stops for the user, or hands off ends with:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
